Exercise Routines: Three Examples of Workout Routines that Actually Work

Losing weight should never be the only reason for embarking on a fitness-training program. Your personal training plan should be geared to improving your long-term health and feeling better about yourself. Here are some recommendations that will help you work out exercise routines that are right for you. Pick something that you love doing, so you’ll be more likely to stick to it.

Beginner Exercise Routines

Cardiovascular workouts are an important part of exercise programs for beginners. Running and jogging are very easy workouts. Skipping with a jump rope is an excellent aerobic workout for home. Cycling is another good cardio workout. Another great cardio workout is dancing to upbeat music. If you want to go to the gym, you can do cardio workouts on the cross trainer or use the exercise machines.

Strength Exercise Routines

You don’t need an expensive gym membership or a lot of equipment to benefit from strength training. Just get yourself a pair of dumbbells, and you can workout your entire body. Use them for flat or incline chest presses, lateral raises, flies and curls. You can workout your back, shoulders, biceps and even your legs using dumbbells. Specific routines are easy to find online.

Fun Exercise Routines

A great example of a fun way to exercise is to jump on a trampoline. You can do knee bends, twists, where you rotate your body 180 degrees in mid air, or jogging in place, where you mimic a running motion from the center of the trampoline. For the knee bends and twists, do three sets of ten repetitions each, and for the jogging, build up to a five minute routine or longer as you get used to it.

There are many options when it comes to exercise routines. The trick is to do exercises that you will enjoy, because working out is something you should look forward to.
